This book started odd good. An adult Cinderella story that I thought I would really enjoy and then...he bought her at a slave auction and made her his sex slave. He treats her like property and doesn't use her name. He calls her Muse and she has increased her business but he doesn't respect her. He might change a little allowing her to kiss him but this book went from A Cinderella dream story to a nightmare. I wi not be finishing this series at all.

Penelope Sky knows how to keep me awake reading from start to finish!!!! I absolutely loved this story and it is just getting started. A new generation of Barsetti men to love and another strong opinioned main female character! I really can't wait to read all of this series.
I received an ARC and I am voluntarily leaving a review since the story left me wanting to read more.

*SPOILERS AHEAD*
Guys this book made me sooo mad.
The plot was amazing. I enjoyed their tension, how the story started developing but then like in 80%? of book I jist could even look at this.
The MMC characters asks FMC about her past, right? Nothing wrong about that. She tells him that she has a lot of debts because of her brother. And then he offers her paying for his brother debts in exchange for being his “muse” and having sex with him. She gets mad at his offer, try to leaves the town but the guy from debts gets her, and sells her on a fucking action! Oh and who’s there? The MMC guy. He pays 100 million dollars for her. LIKE WHAT THE FUCKK. AND THAT WHEN EVERYTHING GETS FUCKED UP.
He expects her to fuck him now and do everything he wants her to do. OH AND THE BEST THING? She’s a fucking virgin. And he takes her virginity. While thinking that she owns him this. She wants a real connection while losing it, because it’s supposed to feel at least kind of special with person that u want it to do. But AT FIRST HE DOESNT EVRN WANT TO KISS HER. LIKE he does not care what she thinks about losing the virginity, he really thinks that she owns it to him. And when she finally loses it

“A woman’s naked body is the most natural thing in the world. It’s beautiful, erotic, sensual…breathtaking.”
I’m really loving Penelope Sky’s books and this was a really really good start to this series!

Good start
This was a good start to this series and I am looking forward to reading more about Sapphire and Conway. It is clear there is much to discover about both of them and this book sets a good foundation.
