Shouldn't this be considered a fantasy for high school girls? 16-year-old gets to stay with a family for her junior year in high school, which just happens to have four hot high-school aged boys? (Plus oone older and two younger brothers . . .)
Actually, my 15-year-old thinks the boys were not realistic enough (in reality they fight much more than the book suggests, even though chaos was depicted, there was not enough of it) but, this was a quick, fun read. Too much underage drinking and implied casual sex. (That is my gripe with many teen books these days.)

This cover is mis-leading. It makes the characters look much younger and more innocent than they really are. Another book I got for my daughter to read that I wouldn't have if I had read it before her.
It did have an okay story line, but I hate the sex/alcohol/swearing that goes into lit. geared for teens. Definitely for more mature teens 16+.
And seriously, what family would actually consider taking in a teenage girl to live with them in a house with 7 boys if they couldn't give her her own bathroom!

I finished watched My Life with the Walter Boys and couldn’t let go of the feeling that it had the SAME plot line as an old preteen favorite of mine. Bullseye. Did some research and apparently MLWTWB was inspired by this book.
Loved this book as a preteen, feels a little rushed and underdeveloped rereading as an adult. Overall, still enjoyable for a quick little read.

AMAZINGLY Addictive AND Awesome
I loved this book and I read it in a few hours. I couldn't put it down, I was addicted. I do wish some things were resolved but honestly it was a great ending. Would definitely recommend and will be rereading in near future.

I enjoyed this read a lot! I read all of it in less than 24 hours and couldn’t put it down! The character development of Megan (in just the two-three weeks this book takes place in) was done well, and I appreciated that the boys felt like normal people instead of stereotypes that we see usually. This was pretty good!

This book is one of those too-cute books, which occasionally borders on movie perfect in an obnoxious way. The over-sappiness is balanced by the voice of the main character (Megan) who is a klutzy, nervous girl with an incredible talent for putting her foot in her mouth. I related to this book, mostly because of the countless embarrassing situations that Megan gets into, and laughed out loud in several parts. It's a light-hearted, fun story with a cute little ending that wraps everything up in a bow and makes readers go "awww."

A good, fairly clean HS romance book. I like Megan, and I like that the typical tropes are slightly subverted - she's somewhat nice to her nemesis, but doesn't quite forgive her, she slowly starts to speak her mind, but doesn't do a 180. One item I didn't like is her text messages with her best friend from home are a little too childish considering her inner monologue and actions. Also they often seemed like throwaways - I would have liked more friendship development there, as well as with a few of the periphery characters (younger siblings, Aimee, etc.).
