Falls short of being anywhere near scholarly, which is disappointing. This is supposed to be an encyclopedia on the topic and sets out to be, but it is obvious the author bit off more than she could chew. The book contains a huge amount of sloppily laid out information. The information itself is quite good here and there, especially when it isn't poorly phrased, but the reason I think this does not deserve 3 stars is because of the stupid, unacceptable, random quotes at the beginning of each section from the likes of Carl Sagan, Dr McCoy from Star Trek and Joel Osteen. People deserve a better Complete Book of Chakras.
