Rosie loves this, even though the illustrations were a little confusing to her at first. She gets them now(4 million times in). She was really stressed out during the sad parts, but a new girl shows up at the end, which she is all about. "Look, he has a new friend!"

A perennial favorite. I love introducing my children to Puff, that wonderful dragon who made me both cheer and cry as a child.

For: readers looking for a Puff book with a hopeful ending.

Possible red flags: abandonment and feeling alone.

Update: I downgraded this book to one star and removed it from most of my shelves because of the sexual assault allegations against Peter Yarrow, which can be found at the two sites listed below.

1) http://www.theyakitten.net/2018/02/12/a-comprehensive-list-of-the-recent-kidlit-sexual-harassment-allegations/

2) https://www.nytimes.com/1970/09/15/archives/peter-yarrow-folk-singer-gets-3month-jail-sentence.html

It kills me to know what Yarrow has done and that their are people in this world who have suffered because of him. Peter, Paul, & Mary have meant so much to me in my life, and having this knowledge now is horrible, but it can't possibly be anywhere near as horrible as what these survivors went through, so this is the least I can do. I was going to leave my original review below, but... it no longer applies.

The cd was disappointing, though the art was nice.

The aesthetics of this book are beautiful; the illustrations and the sprinkles of old English language throughout. It felt like a real medieval storybook.

indio received this book for christmas. the illustrations are beautiful, and i already know most of the words. ;) my singing, though off-key, has been captivating enough for indio to stick it through to the end of the book!

Such fond memories of this book from grade 4 and 5 music class. I can still sing the chorus a little which is nice.
