The introduction displays the truly remarkable climb and display of human tenacity from someone who had a tumultuous childhood. I would probably revisit one or two pieces of poetry from this collection, but otherwise I found it very difficult to engage with.

All that we see or seem is but a dream within a dream
This re-read of Edgar Allan Poe's works was a long time coming. Truly a one of a kind body of work, influential and inspiring to this very day, with great range between tales of woe and terror with romantic poems and adventurous journeys.

I think it’s impossible to rate poetry books. I enjoyed some of these, I didn’t care for others.

Classic Poe... I've been a big fan since I was a kid, after hearing a dramatic reading of The Raven.

I'll be honest, as Poe is one of my all time favourite authors this review is going to be a little bit biased (and then some!). THis collection pulls together literally everything Poe wrote in his lifetime, from his two novels, various short stories and poems to his letters, journal articles, general notes and critiques. This shows the entire range of his writing abilities and while many may not enjoy his less macabre work, I enjoyed seeing another side to his writing and having insight into his life in the real world.

I have already read some of his stories for uni and reading them now one after another is just don't doing it for me
If u have read some of them U will get an idea of him and tbh that's enough
