Olivia and John were the perfect grumpy sunshine couple. Found family romance. This book was everything. The tension between these two characters was so think you could cut it with a knife, but it was such a good balance of the two personalities. I loved how they had to work together to come together to figure out what to do with the farm after the loss of, Olivia‘s grandfather. This book was absolutely adorable, and it truly made me want to read more cowboy/country romance. I absolutely recommend anyone into those genres read this book because it was that good.
Moderate: Animal death, Cursing, Sexual content, Death of parent, and Fire/Fire injury

This would have been a better book if Jake hadn’t acted like such an ass on so many occasions. I liked his character and his honest feelings for Olivia, but there were times he just needed to shut up. And Olivia was a strong, intelligent, hard working woman with a plan to save the farm, and she just kept apologizing over and over because Jake didn’t like it - but he had NO plans to save the farm. ZERO. There was even a joke about internalized misogyny, but this book is absolutely a product of internalized misogyny.
Moderate: Death of parent
Minor: Animal death
