Very cute and very surprising! I love that even the short stories can be a great mystery.

Ternyata udah baca pas tahun 2022 ngakak. I picked this book because I missed reading Agatha Christie’s. The stories didn’t ring any bells, what a shame. I remembered I didn’t really like the book

It seemed kinda timely to read one of Agatha Christie’s collection of short stories with the title - The adventure of the Christmas pudding! And what a feast is served. Of course there’s the main course which certainly finishes with a sumptuous ruby laden plum pudding which honestly made my mouth water in its description. Hercule Poirot is at his finest - delighting one and all with his almost magical powers of deduction.

I enjoyed all of the short stories - some more than others. There’s something about Poirot that is inimitable and while I do find him slightly irritating in his self assured arrogance I also have a soft spot for him.

While I thoroughly enjoyed the book it’s sitting in the three (probably three and a half stars) space for me. Looking forward to working my way through a lot more of Poirot…

I was saving this to read at Christmas because of the title so was a little disappointed that only the first story is set at Christmas. I must have read this when I was a teenager but can’t remember it at all. Lovely little collection of short stories, mostly involving Hercule Poirot, and of course murder. You can clearly see how they’d be the inspiration for Jonathan Creek type mystery shows.
