What a great novella. It’s a quick and easy read, yet written by a Great. It is achingly sweet and I actually read it twice.

3.5 - I can only describe this as fairly good. Gaskell wrote with good empathy, allowing the reader to easily understand what the characters were feeling, which I thought was the strongest aspect of the book.
