I’ve read this book already when I was quite a bit younger and had good memories to it, so when I saw it at my library I took it and read it again.

It still was pretty good, even though it didn’t catch me quite as much as when I was younger.
The futuristic concept still holds up because it doesn’t rely on outdated technologies, but instead on new stuff that doesn’t exist (yet, except the very basics of virtual reality).
The morality questions were great as well as the question on what is best for humanity. Technology or Pen and Paper? Intelligence or Rationality?

In the end I was skipping many pages (almost all of the sixth act, I think) because it felt like it dropped the pace of for me, and I only really came back for the seventh act.
Much of the last two acts felt very rushed: the twist with her memories, her mother, Melrose and help, and through the whole book I also felt that the relationship between Gecko and Luna was really fast and underdeveloped.

But it is a great book for young teens (the demographic for this book and not a 20-year old, lol), especially as a gateway for technology-based Sci-Fi books.
