Basically just as charming as the first, though I think I honestly might prefer the Tigger-free Winnie the Pooh universe to this one (

I got this book for Christmas 1959, aged 5. The first book I loved, and now the first book my son Jordi (also now 5) loves. The world from which it derives may be incorrigibly bourgeois, but its characters and wit transcend this. I think it was the playfulness (with both words and ideas) which appealed to me; that and the interaction of the characters with the viscissitudes of nature. I am old enough to remember a world pre-Disney Pooh, and still remember how appalled I was to see this world of beautiful peculiarity shoehorned into cartoon cliche. An unpardonable crime. Fortunately Jordi still only knows the original, which has sparked his own prodigious imagination (results at http://www.jordiblake.co.uk). There is also a fantastic CD of Alan Bennett reading a range of Pooh stories - could hardly be bettered.

Pretty cute. It was a lot more of a story when I was little :3
The random capitalization got on my nerves, it's easier to ignore that when you're a kid.
I still love Pooh <3
Also, Eeyore is super depressing D:
