Thoughts while reading:
-I really dislike “petal” as an endearment. I get Owen does landscapes, and that fits with his job, but I still really hate it
-I can’t stand it when people drop in for a surprise visit. So not cool!
-Min is awesome
-what happens to Misty?
Cute overall, but I did like the first better

I would typically shy away from a social media/influencer-heavy book, but my trust in these authors is big enough that I knew it would be worth giving it a try. And it really was! I was barely able to put this book down; the characters are well crafted and I was quickly invested in their relationship and the uncertainty of how much of it was real. The drama and relationship issues never felt contrived or unrealistic, but rather painfully inevitable and understandable. Good romance and good angst, with a satisfying conclusion.

Thank you to Gay Romance Reviews for providing an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.
Maybe it was clear to everyone else after finishing Total Creative Control but I had ZERO clues that the second book would be following Mason and Owen. I didn't like Mason after the first book and thought he was an entitled, self-centered prick but oh my GOD I was so wrong. And I'm glad I was.
Mason has a soft side that I didn't get to see in the first book. He's someone who actually doesn't enjoy modelling, he loves to cook, and he's such a softie for his family, even when they don't deserve it. And Owen, who is Lewis's brother, is a gardener who has been attracted to Mason for ages but was never able to act on it. And Owen... whew. He certainly knows how to take care of a partner.
While I still love Total Creative Control more (btw we get a few Lewis and Aaron cameos in this book!), this one was a solid follow-up. There was a lot of drama surrounding Weekend Wellness and I found myself skimming those parts, to be honest, because I wanted to get back to Mason and Owen. Book Three is going to be about and I am SO PUMPED FOR THAT.
I'll just be waiting here for the next book kthnx.

The novel is moving too slowly for my tastes, and I am bored outta my mind. Maybe next time...

Owen and Mason are two great characters together and I liked their premise a little better than the previous book in the series. However, their story probably would have worked better with a subtler conflict. It's just way too many outlandish external things (and antagonists) going on that outshone what could have been amazing and organic character development. The fact that they have similar experiences of being the family breadwinner at a young age should have been focused on more, and Mason's family drama and the resulting way he approaches others (eg his lack of real friends, Owen and his family) could have been fleshed out more and perhaps could have been the main source of conflict instead of something that felt so contrived.
The writing is solid though, and I'm enjoying the series so far.

[4.25] ever since we were first introduced to Owen in Total Creative Control, i vowed to swoop in and snap him up if nobody claimed him by the end of this year. much to my chagrin, he is a taken man now, but since this story was such a pleasure, i won't complain *too* much….. (but you are more than welcome to introduce any similar Owens out there to me, thanks in advance

There is nothing more romantic than a hardworking, down to earth kind of guy reeling in a guy who is used to basing his life on his looks and social interactions. I loved Owen from page one, he was genuine and real from start to finish. Mason slowly grew on me because I loved seeing his life and love goals alter and his personality changes as he interacted with Owen. This is a strong opposite's attract story since they both really have lived very different lives so far. I was pleasantly surprised that Owen was a bit freaky in bed! The steam was strong in this one! Enjoyed seeing Aaron and Lewis as well but this romance can totally be read as standalone!
