Kip (Sasquatch) and Teddy are unlikely friends who turn into so much more! They're opposites in so many ways, yet go together perfectly.
Kip is a giant of a man who has sworn off women. He hasn't had good luck with them because they just want him for his family’s money. Teddy meets Kip at a party where she ends up pouring beers instead of enjoying herself. He decides she needs some help being more assertive, so he becomes her hairy godmother!
I love the dynamic between these two! Their relationship just happens so naturally. Kip didn't realize how lonely he was and how much he needed Teddy in his life. And Teddy gets to experience a friend putting her first. They are so amazing!!! I loved this story!

Teddy meets Kip at a party at the rugby house on Jock Row. She's been abandoned by her roommate who is there to chase jocks, and he gets snarky with her in hopes that she'll realize that she deserves to be treated better. Eventually, he offers to help her catch her own jock, but the plan doesn't last long because he decides he'd rather have her for himself.
I don't know how Sara Ney does it, but I always end up loving her characters even when I don't really like them in the first chapter. Both Teddy and Kip really grew on me, and this ended up being a pretty sweet little romance. I'm also a sucker for a big, bearded hero, so there is that...not to mention that rugby players can be pretty darn yummy.

Another thing I really loved? Kip is not a manwhore!!!!

Popular jock who doesn't sleep around because he doesn't want to be with women who are really after his status instead of him?

I devoured this book. The banter, tension, awkwardness, rude comments all of it was perfection. Might even come close to knocking Zeke down to second place!?! Maybeeee...there is something about Ms. Ney's book two that pack a punch right to my black heart. I freaking LOVED this book. Every single situation, text, rule, all of it. It had the perfect amount of humor, heart and sexual tension. Let me tell you a little secret...their first little make-out session had me clearing my throat (which I have found out is my signal that what I'm reading has me ready to go...) So let's just say this book was lucky for me and the hubs. LOL. Seriously. The innocence and HEAT that was detailed in that scene was so powerful to me as a reader I was like clean up on aisle my panties. Loved it.

Another cute Jock novel. Loved Kip and how he was hairy! Cracked me up. Sasquatch. Loved Teddy and her innocence. Loved there wasn’t a ton of drama.

I enjoyed reading the Douchebag series immensely, just as much as I am loving this series too. They are similar but also different . These ones have next to no drama about them, just a sweet romantic story that has a sports theme as well as a delectable slow burn feel.
Kipling Carmichael has a fancy name, but he looks anything but. Some might say he looks like a Sasquatch! Theodora Johnson hasn't experienced anything lavish in her life, she has worked damn hard for her achievements. She might be a strong young woman, but she somehow can't see how her friends are ditching her over boys. Standing in the background, Kip sees all and decides to break his rule and help her with finding a jock. Neither one expected the eventual outcome. Once they start spending more time together, Kip lets his guard down little by little and is surprised not only on how special Teddy is, but that he can trust her. Kip's appearance might be off putting for some, but not Teddy. She has discovered she loves Kip's façade, especially his beard, and likes hanging out with him too.
Teddy is that sweet character that will do anything for her friends and family. She has an Aha moment that makes you just want to jump up and cheer for her. Kip is simply wonderful. He is a bit crass and boorish but it only endears him more. I love his family loyalty, and that he had a great relationship with his sister, who was a hoot! I would have like more from her. There was one other thing that niggled me. It was that the lead up of their relationship was great, super even. I felt a little flat though with the way they became a couple, that it just was, and not much else to it. I don't feel Kip taught Teddy in any way how to win a jock over, but he definitely helped her see how she could be more assertive, which was brilliant.
I am hoping there is more coming in this series, I love these books and I will be elated each time I do a re read of these until the next instalment.

Short, sweet, HOT, STEAMY, some of the best dry humping ever written in erotica.
A 21-year-old virgin who touches a lot while in bed with her muscley, bearded rugby player of a friend... it just works, okay?
I suspect she's a bit of a furry and in this case, I get it, girl. The fallout is subtle and devoid of angst and I would have read a hundred more pages if I could, TOP NOTCH.

♡ Well damn! This was so freaking close to a 5 star read for me that I'm actually really shook right now. I love Sara Ney's writing and I loved this book!
♡ I love that Teddy and Kip started off as (begrudgingly) friends and then with time, more. I love that Kip saw her at the party and even though he's surly and wants nothing to do with women or anyone, he couldn't help but want to help her.
♡This book definitely has the "grouchy/asshole hero with the sweet(albeit a bit naive) heroine" and honestly I was here for it.
♡What I wasn't here for was the girl hate and the way that Kip judged girls for wanting to go to parties just to have sex with the players. Yes, it's obvious these girls may be doing this just in the hopes of snagging a player but there's really no need for slut shaming and I hate that Sara Ney's (and a lot of NA sports romances if we're being honest) feel the need to shame girls for sleeping around.
♡Also, why do so many of her books have the "my friend sleeps around and is a horrible friend" trope? I will admit that we do get some good girl-friend scenes but with her new friends and I'm not saying there aren't bad friends out there because there definitely is but it's just something I've noticed with this author's books.
♡I wish there was more because I thought Kip and Teddy were so cute together and this book definitely felt a bit short but nonetheless I really enjoyed it!

What I have really enjoyed about this series so much is that you don't need any unnecessary drama. The story itself is so well written that angst is not necessary. And don't get me wrong, I adore angst but I really just loved watching the relationship evolve between Kip and Teddy. It was so romantic and sweet. The banter is so compelling and their chemistry is off the charts. I just couldn't get enough of these two. <3
