I couldn't do it, Isolde is A Awful character! What a Wonderful princess She Bloody is! Uses people "just for fun", then calls the poor man "needy" when he shows concern for her. Doesn't want to get married, "Because she Don't need no Man" Blech.. This woman keeps Saying she's going to be queen one day, and all I can see is a Whiny Brat who uses and Abuses her on people for No reason. She Isn't likable At All, already shows that she's incredibly judgemental over Everyone and Everything! Why can’t we For once in a book have a Princess character who Actually has a chance at being a Good queen without abusing her power and being "feisty", I Just Want A Female Character who is Smart!! And I Also just want to mention That's Just In Two Chapters,  Ughh!!

Ik vond dit boek veel beter dan ik had verwacht! Het boek is spicy, maar ik vond dit goed in het verhaal passen. Adrian is ook echt geweldig. Hij is duister en mysterieus. Hij heeft vreemde acties, maar zijn beweegredenen zijn op het einde logisch en helder. Ik vond dat het verhaal een goed verhaallijn had en dat de spice daar helemaal geen afbreuk op deed. Ook vond ik het plot slim bedacht. Ik zelf had halverwege de puzzelstukjes al bij elkaar gevonden, maar ik wou perse doorlezen om te zien of ik gelijk had. Het boek staat vol mooie quotes en uitspraken. Het eindigt een beetje op een cliffhanger, dus ik ga zeker de andere delen lezen als deze vertaald zijn! Ik heb de prachtige limited edition mogen ontvangen van zomer&keuning en ik kan je vertellen dat deze zo ontzettend mooi is. De schrijfstijl van deze auteur is in dit boek wederom erg prettig. Het boek leest snel weg en ik vind dat het heel beeldend geschreven is. Ik voel echt alle emoties die door het boek worden beschreven, alsof ik het zelf meemaakt. Ik vond het echt een perfect boek en het had zeker een 5 ster kunnen zijn als het woord "neuken" niet zovaak voor zou komen. Het woord "neuken" klinkt zo bot en grof. Ik had het veel fijner gevonden als er een andere benaming gebruikt werkt. Ik stoor me bijvoorbeeld veel minder aan het woord "seks", omdat dit veel minder grof klinkt. Ook stonden er wat spelfouten in. Ik heb ondanks deze kleine punten wel enorm genoten van het boek.

Fun, quick and some sexy moments, but overall not my jam. I was having continuity issues between scenes where it became confusing how we jumped from one point to the other. The audio narrator was fine, but did have some cringe moments. Didn’t really care about the characters, and the plot (which is typically more important to me) was very secondary and didn’t have much substance to it.

Can I just give this book 10 stars!!? 

This is my first time reading Scarlett St. Clair's work, and holy shit, it was astounding! The way Scarlett writes is absolutely beautiful. The descriptions of colors, food, scents, people, how things feel on skin and emotionally, make you feel like you're experiencing it first hand. I can't wait to start the next book, Queen of Myth and Monsters!

I honestly think this one is spicier than the others I’ve read by this author. I loved the love story. It was enemies to lovers but in the best way. I loved the protagonist. I enjoy how she learns and grows as the novel progresses to become a more developed, understanding person - which is how I think we should all live. There was a bit of predictability in the plot and there were a few grammatical issues that led me to a four star rating as opposed to a five star rating.
