A wonderful conclusion to the series. We learn answers to questions that had been set up from book 1. Overall it was a great read.

I loved this series and just finished rereading it. I am a bit disappointed with how little seemed to actually happen in this book. There seemed to be a lot more detail to prolong the book and fill in the gaps.

And I'm done. Yes, it wrapped up. Yes, the red knight was who I thought it would be. But, terribly lame written ending. Back to the pet shop, where the last thing we learn is that Emma and Tancred are FINALLY holding hands? That's not what the series was about, why end on them?

Tancred is alive! I was so relieved to see that Charlie's parents did not actually leave their son in a time of crisis! It was a nice touch that Lyell turned out to be the Red Knight, not a disappointment. Nimmo tied up all her strings in a neat bow. I will miss Charlie.
