I opened this book expecting the same sort of experience. On that end, it is my fault perhaps that I was a bit disappointed in this book.
I am not used to reading RH and I am not opposed to everything that went with it in this book.
I was a bit bored with some parts, and very grossed out with other parts.
All in all, I think this was a good read and I would def recommend it. I will be reading the next book as well.
It just didn't rattle the stars for me.

4.5
This is a solid 4.5! I love everything this book gave me except for Benny and Raine. I usually love morally grey characters that can be as unhinged as they come but I feel iffy about Raine.
As I said this book truly gave me massive GOT vibes with the multiple POV, which rarely does a time jump so you have to remember what they were doing. It also gave me the feeling of dread that Terra, Edgar & Finn may not really see each other again. Well not really Finn, he gives Mal vibes for me. There’s also a very real throwback to Vampire Diaries with The “Turn. It. Off” scene, iykyk.
Overall it was a really good story BUT READ THE TRIGGER WARNING PLEASE! The gore and death is very explicit and this might throw you off if you don’t prepare yourself.
Graphic: Death, Gore, Sexual content, Torture, and Blood
Moderate: Toxic relationship
