Pet name is “kid” for the FMC when the MMC is 22 and she’s 19. Writing is also *not it*

The book started out with an interesting premise that didn’t develop enough in my opinion. I think the shifting viewpoints made the story go quickly but made it tricky to fully connect to the whole cast of characters. The love interest and direction that took was incredibly unfurling. I wanted to feel more but couldn’t.

“𝘚𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘮𝘦 𝘪𝘧 𝘐’𝘮 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘩𝘶𝘩?”
𝘏𝘦 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘵𝘴 𝘮𝘦 𝘢 𝘨𝘭𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘳𝘶𝘯𝘴 𝘢 𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘣𝘦𝘢𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘧𝘶𝘭 𝘸𝘩𝘪𝘵𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘪𝘳. “𝘐𝘵’𝘴 𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘥 𝘢 𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘬, 𝘴𝘸𝘦𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵.”

Now THIS is how you do dark romance! This book has it all - spice, betrayal, gore, secrets, magic, shadows, banter, completely unhinged characters, AN AMAZING PLOT - an incredibly well-written and thought-out story 🤩

“𝘑𝘰𝘪𝘯 𝘮𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘢𝘳𝘬, 𝘴𝘸𝘦𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵.”

A true enemies-to-lovers romance. When the enemy destroys your town and legit melts your parents then proceeds to stab you, break your kneecap - but it’s OK in his eyes because your shadow will heal you - then wants to merge shadows so you’ll carry his child 🫠 Elias is the ultimate morally black MMC 🖤 And then there’s Raine, who is so broken that you never know which version of him you’ll get. I’m obsessed with all his personalities 💀

“𝘐 𝘤𝘢𝘯’𝘵 𝘣𝘦 𝘧𝘪𝘹𝘦𝘥, 𝘣𝘢𝘣𝘦. 𝘐’𝘮 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘢 𝘣𝘳𝘰𝘬𝘦𝘯 𝘵𝘰𝘺 - 𝘐’𝘮 𝘢𝘯 𝘦𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘥𝘢𝘮𝘯𝘦𝘥 𝘴𝘰𝘶𝘭 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘐’𝘮 𝘴𝘰 𝘧𝘶𝘤𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘪𝘳𝘦𝘥.”

If you haven’t read Of Deathless Shadows yet, I highly recommend you do! See for yourself why K. M. Moronova makes my auto-buy author list ✌🏼

Not bad. I liked the different POV's but it did seem to be all over the place sometimes. There is a lot going on. And how are they so young but yet the sex seems so mature. And let's not forget the gore. I don't know if I'll read the next one.

A lot of swearing outside of dialogue.

The easiest 5 ⭐️ I’ve ever given.

I was completely sucked in from the beginning.

This is like if Voldemort won in Harry Potter. It’s giving me Attack on Titan vibes.. like if you know you know. I think people who enjoyed Zodiac Academy or, actually more like Ruthless Boys of the Zodiac.. would love this. It was everything and more! I’m speechless.

What to expect:
✨ Dark Fantasy Romance
✨ Shadow mommies & daddies
✨ Enemies to lovers
✨ Why choose
✨ Fated mates
✨ Academy for “gifted?”
✨ War vibes
✨ Touch her & you die
