Most of these didn't hit the mark for me for in story, characters, or chills. But I did really enjoy the creepiness of The Hill, the satisfaction of Lady of Rage, and the humor of The Monster of Blackenstyne.

I was excited for this one, but most of the narratives and art were pretty lackluster. Many of the stories could have benefited from being a few pages longer and more fully developed. Lots of great concepts and potential, though!

A really great collection of horror comics!! Some of the art styles weren’t for me, but overall really fun and innovative and scary stuff in here!

I added this graphic anthology to my TBR when I was looking at last year's Eisner nominees. It was a super quick read. The stories weren't groundbreaking, some even seemed unfinished, but they had the pulpy appeal of gratuitous violence, snappy action, and cathartic comeuppance for racists, abusers, and other baddies. The best part of a collection like this is the range of art styles, which this collection fully delivered. Recommended for fans of horror comics.

This was my first foray into horror graphic novels. I really liked it, but some of the stories were pretty gory, which isn’t a bad thing, it’s just not my thing. Some of the stories were absolutely excellent, the others were really good. If horror comics are for you, this is a definite read!
