Before I read this book, I had seen a dramatic reading of Nathan's Chasing the Wolf, so I already knew his imagination was huge. This crazy and beautiful story confirmed that. Nathan is quite good at building characters and plots that are irresistible. He can make you believe the most outlandish things could happen... in fact WISH they had happened! His characters are so real because they are imperfect, messed up, maybe nuts in many cases, but they are also doing their best to survive in a crazy world and make sense of their sometimes incomprehensible lives. This novel deals in a very real and straightforward manner with many blatant hypocrisies that our society seems to deem normal. You should read it several times.

At first I really enjoyed the colorful language and characters, but I just didn't feel like this had a plot or a resolution. I felt like it ended so abruptly...
