Rip-roaring adventure! Poor Cassie, she’s had a lot to deal with, but at least now she’s got a bit more support. That ending though; I can’t wait to see what happens next!

I am so glad the story can finally move on after this one! Even though there was a purpose, I was getting tired of the "rescue Pritkin" story line, even though I do really like his character, which felt wrong. I was still a bit weary through some of it, but I am really glad that we get to move on to the next big thing. I also loved the meeting with Dory! There were some really good moments in this one, character development, and fun pieces.

I find the action in these books very difficult to follow, and there's way too much of it. This was a very long book with one action sequence after another and no time to take a moment to regroup. I like the characters though and still do want to know what happens to them.

Well, I finally got around to reading this. I had pre-paid for it and thought that I would re-read the series before starting it, however that was an undertaking I did not have time for. So I just re-read the one before. I started out kind of nervous because the last few books have been all about running the protagonists ragged but getting no resolution or character growth, plus cliff-hanger endings. So wasn't looking forward to that.

It was only after reading a recent review here on GR that I decided that maybe I could give it a chance. Previous beta reviews all said that the book was a big mess of action but again, no resolutions. I'm guessing a massive rewrite took place since this book was so pushed back in release dates.

The upside - some arcs are resolved, some answers were given, many backstories were revealed and detailed, there were more than a few sexy-times, and character motivations were revealed..

The downside- Again Cassie is basically thrown into every possible crappy death situation, she is knocked down so hard that I couldn't believe she got up. Also, she is bening given so many arbitrary obstacles that I just about tossed my Kindle across the room. Couldn't she just get a damn break? However, Rossier made for a lot of comic relief. Also note, it was such a convoluted story with so many things going on at once, and for so long that I found myself skimming because there is just so much detailed descriptions of melee fighting that I could endure. Also, you will find that the book is long, and so you think so much is going to get resolved, but it is basically a crap-ton of filler for what shouldn't have taken so long.

You can skim through some things, but there is backstories and snippets that will prove helpful later in the book, so do it with that in mind if you must.

All in all? I liked it, but don't think I could do it again.

This is a non stop roller coaster of a ride, making you feel like you have to hold on for dear life or you'll be lost in the numerous time shifts and jumps and never figure out what is going on. It's almost too fast paced in its changes, but of course that is kind of the point of the entire book, I would think.
Well written with characters you care about, it's a good read that will have you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. As long as you can keep it straight as you go.

This book was Pritkin-centered and I just LOVED it!

Finally the goal Cassie's been working on for several books is achieved, though the ending is still a bit of a cliffhanger somehow. I was hoping for more character development, though there was some.
