Nightshade is such an intriguing organisation, and their agents make remarkable counterparts/foils to Alex. This was genuinely a fun read with an interesting plot.

It doesn’t matter how old I become, Alex Rider will forever be the best series I have ever read! I’m eternally grateful that Anthony Horowitz brought Alex’s story back to life and continues to write these fabulous books! Every page had me hanging on for more until I was sleep-deprived and had a sore thumb from holding the book open for so long.

Nightshade was fabulous! It was so fun to revisit Julius Grief and meet the new characters. I hope to read more about Freddy and Sofia in future books, maybe they will take part in Nightshade’s demise? Anyway, I’m not sure what will happen next, but I have only one thing left to say: MORE ALEX RIDER!!!

I can see why Alex is going to willingly offer to help with Nightshade. The things they did to brainwash those kids is sick!

I'll be honest, I don't care much about Mrs. Jones's kids, but I am interested in seeing how Alex is going back to school after being called a terrorist by the name of Julius Grief.

(disclaimer: the stuff i mention in this review are somewhat negative because it's obvious for me personally that alex rider books are going to be terrific, so im just pointing out the worse stuff)

a minor complaint was i would have expected more character exploration in this book, especially because it had so much potential to explore alex/julius's minds. i had hoped it would be mentioned because at the beginning they said something about having to "get into julius's head", and i anticipated alex struggling to get out of julius's head or that he might be brainwashed by nightshade as well, but the plot didn't quite go that way. still it's a middle-grade/ya book so maybe i shouldn't have expected that much.

Still enjoying Alex's story, twelve books in! Horowitz gave a fresh angle with a new set of enemies and tactics.
Should there be another book in the series, I'll keep reading!

These books are super nostalgic for me and the fact there are still new ones to rejoin my fav characters, is something I’ll always be grateful for. I’ve loved reading the Alex Rider books and think this one might be my favourite yet!

They’re always super fast paced and exciting. It’s hard to tear yourself away and there always seems to be something on the horizon or about to drop round the corner. They keep me occupied for hours and I don’t even notice the time going by

We’ve had Scorpia and now there’s an even more terrible organisation on the scene. Nightshade is deadly indeed and Alex’s encounters with them both horrify and astonish. He thought he was alone as a 15 year old involved in secret missions but it seems this group is training their very own calibre of young deadly assassins. How will Alex ever get out alive?

Ooof it was so intense and I flew through the book. Can’t wait for the next and the follow up to this one, It definitely ended leaving me wanting more!

This series never disappoints with the next book always being better than the last one. As always I really loved Alex there is never a time where he is unlikable at all he is like a normal teenage boy with many other things he is very resourceful so able to handle a crisis and get out of most situations. I also loved both Jack Starbright and Tom they had better roles to play this time I liked how they fit well in what happens in the book. I really liked the plot it started with a setup for the plot with a character dying and moving to Alex thinking its all over and continuing with him on another case to save a bunch of people. I really liked how it ended and how it was set up for more of the Nightshade organization with a giant target on Alex's back I am looking forward to where the story goes next.

Alex Rider takes on another secret evil organization with kidnapping, brainwashing, and a terrorist plot involving London. I was happy for Mrs. Jones. That last line was very ominous and makes me worry about what will happen to Alex in the next book.
