I wanted to read the book since I saw the movie recently...and books are always better! I wasn't disappointed and this was a charming story although I'm not a huge fan of the main character always having his happiness and goals blocked.
The sequel, included in the volume, 'Shannon's Way', was much more of the same only the main character was now an adult with his medical degree. There was resolution at the end, but oof, that poor character.
