So to be completely honest I was a little underwhelmed with this one. Which is disappointing because I’m a big fan of the other books in the series. Maybe it’s because I’m not a huge fan of the “insta-love” trope though

This is the sixth and final book in the Shadow Beast series (for now). I have been waiting for Sam's story. I knew there was more to her past that would explain the whys. I loved this series. Every book just gets.better and better. I love Sam and Len! I hope this is not the last book in this world. I could read books about these characters forever. I absolutely love Jaymin's way of writing. Can't wait for her next release.

You are more than you know
I have been eagerly awaiting Samantha's story, and it was nothing short of amazing. I gave up sleep the last few days so that incould read as much as I could.
This book was everything that we have been waiting for. I loved that Samantha was able to finally make herself vulnerable and open up about her insecurities to Len and to Mera and the rest of her pack.
There were alot of swoon-worthy moments that I had to highlight and save. I really enjoyed this series and never thought it would expand beyond Shadow and Mera, but so happy it did.

Amazing!!!
As always I love living in Jaymin Eve's creations! This book like the others was simply breathtaking and consuming. A bit sad this was the last one but it was a good conclusion. This will definitely go on my must own in actual book form list!

Sooooo much better than the previous 2 books. Yes Mera and Shadow are in this because honestly, they are kind of the soul of the group, this story was much better. It did take a bit to get into this book, partially because the ending was a forgone conclusion and I thought it would be more like the previous 2 books but once the death blow happened, I was hooked. The twist about Sam was nice and knowing there are additional members to the group who haven't joined yet made me happy to know that our single characters should have a happily ever after in their futures was nice, though that does mean that....spoilers

Our one true death character will come back eventually, which is a little of a let down. I did get a little aggravated at the end feeling like Sam's old pack should have been dealt with before their family dinner and would have liked to know how those who fled were dealt with. It was also nice to see everyone come together for the world ending event and see how they were all connected. It does leave questions about the other Origin beings and their worlds though....more world ending event options in the future? The author does seem to really enjoy making all the males out to be the same, controlling, possessive and growly, even though until their book, they never come off that way, except Reece of course, which clashes with the characters you have grown to know through the series, although once they aren't main Characters, they again go back to their original personalities, leaving you to wonder if the author is unsure how to write a male character, in love, any other way. Like, literally they all growl even when they have no real animal side. Overall I liked this book much better and it gives me hope for additional books in the series and their ability to draw me into the Shadow beast world or more accurately, Meras world.

I enjoyed the 3 original books to the series, and I am sad to have ended the series on the 3 spin-off books. They were written all the same, with similar plots and endings. The writing style did not differ between any of the books, and they all may as well have been written from the same characters' perspective. The personalities, attributes, and attitudes of the spin-off characters were built up so much during the first three books, and then suddenly, that was all forgotten when they had their own book.
