My favorites were The Last Leaf, The Trimmed Lamp, & of course, The Gift of the Magi.

I wish I was clever as this man. Not all of them are particularly clever, but the ones that are… damn. I want to write like this.

The Gift of the Magi
As a child, I loved this story, but as an adult, I realized how stupid it was. They were so in love with each other that they were willing to give up their most precious possession. Sounds romantic yeah, but the "ironic twist" was simply the result of a misunderstanding. C'mon love birds, learn to communicate!

The Art Game
Are you kidding me? Where is the art??? I see nothing but cheating and stealing!

The Troubadour
After learning that Mr. Ellison was in debt to the King, Sam killed the latter, without knowing that the debt had already been disregarded. A murderer!!!

Money Talks
well yeah, the title speaks for itself.

Soapy's Winter Home
Bearable. Also, Soapy was clever.

Basically, these short stories suck.
