This is the sixth book of the series, and I'm in "I know what to expect" territory. The main cast of characters is wonderful people that I would love to sit and chat with. The main plotline will interest me and, together with the characters, keep me reading. I will once or twice a book (but only that rarely) get frustrated with political statements, wondering whether they are those of the author leaking out of his characters or whether he is just portraying a character's beliefs as the character would see them.

I felt like this book stayed on the rails better than the two-parter previous to this in the series. But I really wish he would write shorter chapters! I don't always have 45 minutes or an hour to devote to reading and… it's nice not to have to resume reading mid-chapter.
