у цій книжці є два типи людей, мало не страшніших за убивць: туристи і родичі. а як родичі під час своїх туристичних вилазок згадують, що у вас є симпатичний будиночок у провінції, на сцену виходить чисте втілення зла. i can relate, звісно, але коли характери персонажів (приблизно всіх, не тільки епізодичних) об'ємні рівно настільки, щоб ідеально вписатися в різдвяну комедію для цілої сім'ї, це трохи псує задоволення від тексту.

È il mio secondo libro della Läckberg e, a parte la sottotrama con la gravidanza di Erika e la violenza subita dalla sorella, il colpevole è piuttosto "telefonato".
Rimane sempre piacevole il lavoro di flashback tra passato e presente e la caratterizzazione dei personaggi, soprattutto quella dei colleghi di Patrick.
La storia è molto ombrosa: si trova il cadavere di una ragazza sulle ossa di altri cadaveri. Nel frattempo scompare dal campeggio una giovane adolescente. Tutto è incentrato su una famiglia spezzata in due il cui capofamiglia era un noto predicatore taumaturgo.
Ce la farà Patrick a salvare la ragazza rapita e a scoprire chi c'è dietro agli omicidi?

Religious creeps are the worst. But Patrick and Erica are so great.

Detectives about serial killers it’s one of my favorite genres ever, but I hate to know more about victims. My heart is breaking so hard to learn about their feelings and dreams that would never come true. I literally hold my tears while reading Mona’s dads words about his daughter, can’t imagine to live with that hurt for so long. I’m not religious, but I truly wish for them to meet in heaven.

As a romance fan I’m so happy to see the development of Erica’s and Patric relationship, I think they are so good together. I wish all the happiness to Anna too, can’t stand her suffering for so long.

God damn I hate family dramas and moreover cheating in the family, why are they choose to be so disgusting? I try not to divide world to black and white, but I don’t know, to be a good person is a choice. I don’t talk about a murder, that’s obviously not the point. Is I am a masochist that I still read it even it makes me depressive and anxious?

By the way, my mind was working unstoppable, I tried to glue all the pieces but was shocked at the end regardlessly. How heartbreaking that’s story about mother and her girl, to meet two different evil people which stopped their life.
