I much preferred the author's first book in this series:  The Ice Princess. This one had editing errors/time in history errors. just felt sloppy

Andra boken i Fjällbacka serien. Lite tunnare historia i denna gång men ändå bra.

I found the book fun to read and the plot was interesting but
the ending was a disappointment to me. Just a brutally rough note to end on: the girl they’ve been looking for has died. The cops never learn who killed Johannes. Erica’s sister goes back to her abusive ex-husband. The twist about why Jacob’s DNA didn’t match was good, the ending was just such a bummer. There’s so little character development in these books that the plot really has to soar for me, and it fell flat.
