I liked to dwell on these shortcomings now. It wasn’t only that I was wondering why they had ever annoyed me. I was hoping they would annoy me still, so that I could stop missing her.
This is my first Anne Tyler book and I don't get the hype. This story was extraordinarily dull and the best thing about it was how short it was.
We follow Aaron, a man with a limp and a curled arm, as he deals with the aftermath of his wife's death. At one point, Aaron's wife, Dorothy, starts coming back to go on walks with him and everyone sees them. Or something.
I honestly have no idea what even happened in this book, but I don't even care that I don't know.
