Despite not going up in a small town or being a teenager in the 80s, I still felt a strong relatability to Robin and her struggles. At least once a chapter I would think to myself, "That happened to me" or "I agree" or "This is relatable." There was something truly captivating about the story, and the way it took Robin a while to realize her own sexuality is just so real. I'm going to say this is probably one of my favorite books of the year so far.

Rebel Robin is a refreshing and honest take on what it's like to grow up as a queer teen in a small town. Seeing her grow into herself and discover what she wants from life felt like an authentic journey that you didn't want to end. I also appreciate that this novel told a new story while still weaving in characters and b-sides of moments that we know from the show.

A cute, fun Stranger Things novel! I loved getting a closer look on Robin‘s life before season 3. Also seeing other characters from the show pop up was really funny xD.
