I've enjoyed Rick Steves on PBS and NPR and now I've enjoyed his book too! Especially enjoyable were the sections on places that I've visited, Denmark and Turkey among them. It is always interesting to read someone else's take on a place.
I mailed this one on to thegoaliegirl.

Highly recommend. Great book if you manage study abroad programs or work with students going abroad. Rick Steves show a whole different side of himself in this book. If you ever get a chance to hear him speak, he is great!!!!

Exactly why I travel and wish it was mandatory that all natural born US citizens should be required to travel to other countries outside North America. I've learned more from traveling than I ever did in school. Thanks Mr. Steves.

A short review for this one: basically, I agreed with everything and I love Rick Steves. This is a must-read for anyone, especially Americans in the current political/cultural climate of the U.S.

Highly reflective, informative, and enjoyable. Feels like a book you can use. Some of his framing is a bit disagreeable, but love Rick Steves and his outlook on travel.

I learned more from this book than any history class I took in high school. And it was far more interesting.
