First off, a massive thank you for this ARC copy of A Cage of Crimson! As a die-hard K.F. Breene girly (just check my Goodreads and StoryGraph highlights), I couldnāt wait to dive into another one of her masterpieces. And wow, she did not disappoint!
Imagine Red Riding Hood with a fierce twist, where our strong FMC (Female Main Character) battles a world filled with secrets and betrayal. This isnāt your childhood fairy taleāit's darker, spicier, and packed with alpha vibes that make your heart race. Weston is the epitome of brooding alphaāpossessive and protective, with raw dom vibes that had me swooning. Seriously, heās all ādonāt anybody look or touch my woman whoās not my woman but is my womanā vibes. You get me? šš¶ļøš¶ļøš¶ļøš¶ļø
Hadrielās presence adds a delightful layer to the story, bringing his unique charm to the mix. And let's talk about Aāa tragic past and a mysterious future. Why do I feel like she's harboring a something bad ass inside her? Like whatās your power girly?! And who is your Father was he royalty, wait could she be?! Gah! I need so many answers! Thereās definitely more to her story, especially with how those bugs respond to her. Somethingās not adding up, and Iām dying to find out what.
The endingāOMG! Iām still reeling. The amount of secrets and betrayal is off the charts. Does A have some Stockholm syndrome going on? Granny is seriously twisted, and watching A come to terms with her treatment is heart-wrenching. And Weston? Who knows what to expect from that man next!
This book is a rollercoaster of emotions, and I just canāt handle it. What the actual hellāI need the next installment now!
