Awful. Maybe the worst novel I have ever had to read. Crusoe is an arrogant, racist, poor excuse of a 'protagonist', and I do not see where the hype is for this book. He is not a hero, he is an exploiter, who endorses slavery and has an insufferable God complex. The worst the colonialism genre has to offer.

Really just purchased this to read for childhood sentimental purposes.
But honestly a bit disappointed. Basically half the book is spent going into detail about the things he builds on the island (felt more like I was reminiscing my childhood with Bob the builder) and overall it was just really boring. For a book under 300 pages the time in which it took me to finish it should be evidence enough of how boring I found it.
