Not a young adult book. The plot of The Martian is very parallel. Christians would approve.

Arguably the first novel ever written. It's worth a read - in modern terms it's kind of like the movie Castaway. But be ready for lists of foods eaten, observations and entries of activities done today on a deserted island!

I LOVED this book! I read a extremely watered-down version as a kid and couldn't wait to read the real book! I love survival stories. :)

First adventure story or fan fiction for colonisers? This was so uncomfortable to read. Intrigued to read J.M Coetzee’s “Foe” to see what it has to say in response. (Had to read this for Uni).
