This is the second book in this series, and we mostly started where the last book ended. Honor is an interesting character, and I like how her species is a little different than her mate Luke’s. I find her family fascinating and fun, his family intriguing, and I’d like to get know them better; maybe in a spin-off series? In this one, Honor and Luke are struggling in many ways but there are so many unseen enemies, it’s hard to know who to trust. Speaking of trust, I was really surprised at the end; I was not expecting that. I can’t say much because I don’t want to spoil it. Anyway, I’m anxious to see what happens in the next book. You need to read this book and series if you like werewolves and paranormal romance. Recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.

This is the second book in Aimee Easterling’s Moon-Crossed Wolves trilogy. As always, Ms. Easterling has produced a fun, suspenseful shifter story with an exciting plot. While this book can be enjoyed on its own, it will probably make more sense if you read the entire trilogy in order.
This story has a definite Romeo and Juliet vibe, depicting the impulsive romance between two characters from different cultures. I liked both of the main characters as well as many of the secondary characters. I loved seeing the contrasts between a woelfin family (human/wolf shifters who depend on a removable pelt, somewhat like a selkie’s) and werewolf packs.
This fast-paced, madcap adventure held my interest from beginning to end and kept me guessing. It offers lots of action, mystery, surprises, romance, and a few laughs. It ends on a satisfying note, with Luke’s pack heading in an interesting direction. I am looking forward to the concluding book, which should be out this summer.
This book contains some violence, minimal swearing, and sexual suggestiveness but no explicit sexual content.
If you enjoy this, I highly recommend checking out Thirteenth Werewolf and Other Stories, which includes Luke’s wonderful prequel story.
I volunteered to review an advanced reader copy of this book provided to me by the author.
