While I adored Liam I felt bad for Nick. Love is unpredictable but the way Josie acted towards Nicks could have been handled a little better.
It was crappy the way he just left but at the same time understandable.
Africa was awesome for him. I'm glad he found Aubry. They are definitely on their way to HEA. I hope to hear more about them in the future.

Ame que Nick aún se preocupara por Noah... Y adore que Noah dijera que Nick aún era una de sus papás... Creo que es el final perfecto para Nick

I'm glad that Nick gets his HEA, But would have liked more with him and Aubrey. They just, get together. There is no real story for them.

Dear Nick,
I used to hate you. Now, not so much. In fact (don't tell your wife, okay) I kind of like you - a LOT.

My Everything is a short story that follows Nick and his life after he's decided to leave town. Even though he wasn't my favorite character from Forever My Girl, it was nice to see him get a HEA and a second chance on happiness.

This was a sweet novella book 1.5 in the Beaumont series. Its about Nick and after when his relationship ended with Josie. He goes to Africa and meets Aubrey and she helps heal him. A year later they both come back to Beaumont and Nick is asking for forgiveness and to hope build a relationship with Noah still since he was a father figure to him and Nick felt he let Noah down by leaving. We also get some flashback scenes from Nicks POV from Forever my Girl as well.
Narrator Jeffrey Kafer was great.
I received this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Are novellas just filler waiting for the next novel to be done? If so, once the series is done not much reason to read them.
This very short book Nick is the central character. We see through his eyes the relationship he had with Josie, how he feels about Noah and why he just up and left with no goodbye.
We find him in Africa doing a missionary for a year as a doctor, since it is so shot we got insta love and very quick forgiveness when he retruns home

When I finished reading Forever My Girl, I wasn't a huge fan of Nick. Sure, he was nice enough and all he wanted to do was keep the little boy he had raised and the girl he had loved together as a family, but I just didn't feel like I needed to read anything more about him after he left. Reading My Everything just proved how wrong I was.
Nick Ashford moved to Africa to start a new life and mourn the one that he had lost. Instead of healing alone, he meets and falls in love with Aubrey. My pet peeve in movies and books is when characters meet once and all of the sudden they're in love. Because this was such a short novel, I was afraid that the relationship portion would be rushed and would feel forced but it didn't come across that way at all. Heidi has a great gift in making every emotion in her characters feel genuine and authentic. She's not just telling you a story, she's painting a picture and letting you feel along with the characters.
I enjoyed every bit of this book and wished it would have been longer because I didn't want it to end. Hopefully we'll see more of Nick and Aubrey in the next Beaumount Series book. Until then, I'll be anxiously waiting for more beautiful words from Heidi McLaughlin.

“When I look at her, I know what true love feels like. It’s the butterflies you get every time that person walks into the room or you get a whiff of their perfume from another room”
I didn’t particularly like Nick in Forever My Girl. I thought he was an ass, but after reading My Unexpected Forever, I feel a bit bad for him. This was a great follow up to Forever My Girl. I get that he was not happy with Liam’s return and feeling as though, that was what kept Josie from moving forward. I am happy that Nick went to Africa and did something so selfless, like volunteering. I think this redeemed him in my eyes. I was happy that he met Aubrey while there and that they just lived life spontaneously with no regrets. Great novella!
