Undeniably important piece of work, which probably has come with a lot of sacrifices for the informants. She shapes the university as an important piece of observation and frankly - a must read for any work place environment.

I found this a very compelling dissection of systems of complaint, which has broad applicability beyond the confines of the universities in which it is set. For me, and as it explicitly acknowledges, many other readers, it chornicles the maddening feeling of knowing you have been wronged and yet having no recourse to right that wrong, as well as the gaslighting that takes place when you attempt to. It was very thorough and matter of fact about something that is usually made complicated to obscure blatant abuses of power.
