Overall, the story is fun to read.

Not a big fan of insta love, or the writing style, but it was a fun read.

I do have to say if a vampire with a huge library came to me, I too would be like yeah make me a vampire so I can read all the books.

For such a short book it is very wordy which makes it feel like it drags.

It’s cute. I felt like I was just reading thought processes for the majority of the time though

A steamy novella with a sexy ancient vampire who is obsessed with books and offers you his devotion and his full library sounds like a dream. However, this book was not dreamy to me, the writing was not my style, and even felt pretentious at times. I think that might have been intentional because of the age of said vampire but I did not click with the writing and frankly, because of that I did not love the characters.

Ngl, this book dragged for me. A lot of the dialogue was stilted and repetitive. I appreciated the love of archiving, book collecting, and reading tho. Rosamund was confident and utterly devoted to her craft, and to finding her fave author. Declan was just as devoted and lonely. They fit together well. I wanted more background on Rosamund — like who are the important people in her life? It had some potential but it fell short.
