If a hot vampire cornered me in a bookstore and invited me to check out his personal library, I wouldn’t say no either.

A quick, shallow read for those that like slow- burn vampire romance.
Librarian rant incoming!! Let me set the record straight, hopefully for the last time, about what Librarians really do: despite the misinformation in this book, Librarians, for any kind of library, DO NOT READ FOR A LIVING. Not school Librarians, not academic Librarians, not archivists. Even those of us that give reading recs often read on our own time. That's it. No replies. Thank you.

This was a quick read where I was very specifically looking for spice and paranormal. While it did fulfill its purpose, I found myself tripping over repeated phrases, re-tracking the characters because I felt like I had missed things, and wishing it were longer and did have some more plot than just "she loves him, he loves her, yay sex!".

what i wanted: a hot, plus size vampire romance, full of smut (since it's a one night situation)
what i got: a cringey af vampire romance where the mmc was annoying af, made me cringe, and mid af smut
i think the plus size rep was good but also hardly mentioned?? like if i had not seen the cover, it would not have been obvi that she was plus sized until mid way through them f*cking.... i don't like that at all. the smut was, like i mentioned, mid. i didn't enjoy it. 10/10 would not recommend.
⚠️: stalking, age gap (hes like 1000 and shes in her 30s), descriptions of feeling high (from blood), death of side character (on-page), kinks (blood, pain, choking, praise, primal play)
