Merciless Spy - Merciless ending

The word merciless really does belong in the title of this book because Heather Long sure showed no mercy when she threw the cliff hanger of all cliff hangers at us in this book. I’m still trying to come to terms with the ending of the book and now I have to wait for the next one!!!

A fantastically written book where we see Hellspawn (et al.) really come into her own and open up to everyone about her experiences in the past and explore her sexuality and relationships with the rest of her men.

There are some wonderful growth scenes between multiple characters - Freddie in particular goes through a lot in this book. We meet ‘the King’ and have a very yummy Twin sandwich.

So many twists and turns and a must read part of the series!

I really didn’t see how I could love this series more, but well-done Heather, book 7 is just as amazing as book 1!

This book was everything I knew it would be and more. Being book 7 for the series, we are at a place where we get to see Emersyn and the guys build their relationships a bit deeper. Which means this book had me in my feelings a lot!! I loved everything about that though, to hear some of the truths get revealed, the struggles, and fears spoken of. This series really does embrace a lot of different perspectives about recovery, be it from abuse or substance. The way Emersyn & Guys have grown to be the family they needed, is everything I love about ‘found family’ relationships. Let’s not forget about the sensual & passionate side of these relationships…I mean Rome, Liam, Kellan, Vaughn, Doc and yes even Freddie brings something to the table that make this group a perfect WhyChoose. But with true Heather Long style, I’m finishing this book thinking this is going to smooth…yeah welcome to the end of all ends!!! Dang, do I love a good cliffie, but this cliffie left a mark. 😱🥺🤯! If you haven’t started this series, what are you waiting for? If you have, buckle up it’s going to get bumpy.
