An orphaned boy reminisces about being raised by his eccentric aunt. Told through little anecdotes that span the decades from the late 1920s through the 50s, each episode shows Auntie Mame reinventing herself and bringing fun and chaos wherever she goes.

This is really quite a lovely book. Even if her methods are rather unorthodox Auntie Mame has the best intentions for Patricks upbringing. I like how the story doesn't stop once Patrick grew up. This book really stood the test of time and I will probably read it again.

This was pretty funny romp. Would have been perfect if it were 75 pages shorter
