Not the best book, not the worst I’ve read either.
The plot was good, however a little short for me - I love a good slow burn and this just wasn’t that. It was angsty, and the romance wasn’t shoved down your throat like some books do, which was a bonus. Other than that, I found it a little cliché (though I imagine that was the intention) just too many plot cliches for me to ignore.
The MC was the perfect amount of angst for me, however she was written like the characters I’d depict in fanfiction - self loathing, feel sorry for me and utterly conflicting in her views and logic. Made for good nostalgia I’ll be honest. Other than that, I liked that she wasn’t the “typical” body shape and the plot line around that, I commend the author there.
The male counterpart was cliché and a little annoying for me. Very whiny, too privileged and I didn’t at all find myself falling for him whatsoever, unlike other book boyfriends I’d read about. I like that he wasn’t a 2D douche face, but even he was riddled with cliches and it annoyed me.
I suppose I may not have been the target audience for the book, but gave it a chance anyway and wasn’t too disappointed.

A fun little opposites attract sports romance. I think the characters were likeable but at times they felt kind of superficial. I’m not sure if that's just due to the shorter nature of the book, but sometimes the characters felt flat. I think it was nice to see the story of a plus sized ballerina and the struggles she had in the industry, especially with her mom being the head of the dance academy. Overall, it was a fun read but it wasn’t super investing.

This book definitely captured teen angst and overthinking everything. I didn’t mind it so much but the lack of communication throughout the entire book was exhausting by the end of it. I didn’t feel a connection to any of the characters and that might have been because I didn’t really get to know Ethan or Collette as individuals outside of the stereotypes they were living. Also, I wish that there hadn’t been a two week time jump because suddenly they have become comfortable enough with each other.
This book was okay. It definitely gave the side characters the ability to grow throughout the book which was nice.

I love it when I have no idea how I ended up with a book on my holds. Come for the diet culture and stay for the Wattpad cringe. I guess I was entertained.
