Kind of a hard book to rate. I found there to only be a few characters worth reading about. And they are Stevie Rae, Rephiam, and Kolona, why because they are the characters with the most depth. The rest, including Zoey just seem way too fake. I didn't even care when Heath died, mostly I was just like, "Heh, finally, it was necessary for him to die."

A much better book because it wasn't just in Zoey's point of view. Stevie Ray is good even though she is making mistakes she doesn't come across as so selfish as Zoey does. Also the guys in Zoey's life are acting more mature except Eric who was a complete idiot. The story line is involving more of the vampire community which really helps open up the world. I feel a bit bad for Zoey because she has a lot of responsibility for someone so young but then I guess that's the point of the books. The ending is Fantastic and really opens up that maybe Zoey is gone forever
