“Maybe that’s what it feels like. Coming home to her. Knowing she’s actually there for once. Maybe waiting for me. Maybe wanting me.” —Callahan Sharpe

“For a man who didn’t think he knew how to love, he’s shown me daily how cherished I am, how important and vital I am to him. He’s shown me how it is to be loved by someone’s whole heart.” —Sutton Pierce

gasping gurgling choking stuttering wheezing weeping screaming throwing up.

Oh wow, this was something. With this new series, K Bromberg is off to a blazing start, and I'm thrilled about it! The unquestionably intense romance, escape adventure, and a woman's drive to ultimately choose what is best for herself were all presented in this book.

Might I say that I'm starting to get used to her writing style, yes, a sobbing scene in the romance book if you might wonder. Their banter is not that great, to be honest. I didn't even have much interest in their banter and chemistry at first. However, the more I read, the more I enjoyed this book. Even though, it started out a little too cliched and too instantaneous for my taste, but it quickly improved and became more poignant, serious, charming, and endearing.

I'm eager to find out what the other two Sharpe brothers are up to. So, yes, I'll go straight to read On One Condition after this💥🏃🏻‍♀️

The Last Resort by K Bromberg was a surprise for me. I haven't read a book of hers in a while because I feel like I'm always wrecked after and I am, once again but in a good way. Last Resort is the first book in the SIN series which will follow hotel moguls who also happen to be 1/3 of a triplet! Book one centers on Callahan Sharpe, who in some ways is the black sheet of the family. He comes back to revive a resort that he bought with his dad before he dies. This story is about family, grief, and standing up for yourself.

The audiobook was narrated by Aaron Shedlock and Stella Hunter. I think they did great. There are times when listening to an audiobook that the narrators voice is a distraction but definitely not in this one. I was so engrossed in the story and how Aaron and Stella delivered these vulnerable characters to life.
