I struggled to finish the series with this book; I felt like it really lost momentum after the first 2 books but I really don't like to not finish - especially if it's a series and I feel like I've invested a lot of hours in reading the first couple of books.

Goodness, it nearly had me at the end there. Could have been a 1 star there.

But you turned it around! Omg I loved this ending. Such a perfect ending to this series. So glad I read them.

Sorsha and her wonderful quartet, Ruse, Snap, Thorn and Omen

This was an interesting ending to the series. I feel like it was a tiny bit rushed towards the end, but still pretty satisfying.
All the good bits happened in the last 50 pages or so. For a reverse harem, there was a surprising lack of group sex in these books. Really there were a total of three scenes. The first was I think the second book?...maybe the third but I’m pretty sure the second. It was more that they took turns than worked simultaneously though. Which, you know, is totally fine and still hot...but then nothing even remotely close to that happened until the this book. There was a scene with all four of them in the ocean, more taking turns and a couple hand stuff. Then there was the last ten pages where they were finally working together in Some way though still not DP, and even then it was brief and more of an overview of what was happening than an actual description. Again. Fine. I just go into reverse harem books with the expectation that there’ll be group sex and this hardly had any.
That’s not to say that the sex it did have wasn’t steamy and sexy though, cause it was. I mean they were monsters. They had a few tricks up their sleeve to make things interesting. Their team work in the bedroom just didn’t seem to be one of them.
I did enjoy seeing Sorsha in all her fiery glory, though I kind of wish there was more of that and more of the additional things the author just seemed to throw in at the end about her abilities. But whatever, i guess. They seemed to live traveling cat burglary, Robin Hood, rescuer ever after together so that’s a plus.
I don’t know. It was good. I’m glad I read it. But I’m not sure I’ll take the time to look into this authors other work.

It’s taking forever to finish this book, which us book 4 in the series. Where the other books were amazing. Dark Champion, the first 75% is stagnant and the storyline is stuck. We finally learn what the FMC is, and honestly don’t care.

Shows I’m 83% done, and I’m skimming the pages and chapters to finish. Storyline lacks luster and I’m out.

If the author cut out 75% of prisoner plot, this could have been added to the last book.
