Ya explicaré cosas, pero es una trama bastante simple, previsible (mucho) y fácil de leer que puede competir con cualquier comedia romántica de la tele. Bastante entretenida y divertida, con ese toque original que le dan las cartas de odio entre los protagonistas.

I listened to this audiobook with Libby through my library.

Brief Summary: Naomi and Luca were made pen pals in school. However, the first letter sets off a chain of events where Naomi and Luca try to one-up each other with witty banter. Shortly after college Luca stops sending letters. Naomi is hurt but never learns why he stopped writing. However, when she receives a letter at her new address she is determined to solve the mystery of his disappearance.

Thoughts: I've loved You've Got Mail since I was a teenager. It is one of my favourite movies. This book gives me the vibes of that movie and I absolutely loved it.

My biggest issue with the book is the miscommunication trope. It is perhaps my least favorite trope and the way it was used in this book was wild and killed a few of the vibes for me. That being said I would 100% recommend this book. It's fun, flirty, and gives Nora Ephron vibes.

Marchetti wrote a witty and entertaining book. The book switches between the present time and the letters  Naomi and Luca wrote to each other since they became pen pals in school. The letters between them captured teenage angst well and were an interesting contrast to present events.

The book falls a little short at the climax. I was not surprised by the events, but I was shaken. I had to put the book down and breathe because if Naomi and Luca had just spoken in person they could have avoided some wild aspects of this story.

I would recommend this romance for enemies-to-lovers and You've Got Mail fans.

I liked the premise and enjoyed most of the letter exchanges, but the rest fell flat for me.

A super predictable plot with lots of holes and things that just didn't make sense, the FMC was unbelievably dense, and some of the writing was not great.

What annoyed me the most was the search for the MMC.
For example, flying clear across the country for one day just to knock on a couple of doors and ask about someone who moved away years ago?
Nonsensical and outrageous.
