Another great romance from Odette Stone! She continues to write incredible stories! Viktor was a fantastic hero! I loved reading his story of finding love!
I am lucky to be a part of Odette’s ARC team. This in no way affects my rating or review.

Okay I have to say that I did not really expect to like this after book 1 but I really just needed to finish out the series so I could be done because my brain wouldn't let me leave just 1 unread after I'd made it through the hockey books and the first mafia one. And since they were out of mafia work...
I had a good time with this one. Turned off my brain and just enjoyed the mess of the story - at least with this one it felt like there was good reason for there to be so much drama going on and it kind of all tied together. I liked Viktor the last book and liked him in this one too. Enjoyed getting to see Andrusha again. If you have enjoyed any of the other books you're probably going to like this one. Will I re-read it? No, but I'm not mad I read it the first time through.

not as good as I’d hoped
3.5/5⭐️
I’m raging a war with this one, I was excited but Viktor fell short for me in the end.
Still a very good read.

I was so excited for this book. This author has always been a favorite of mine and I have been eagerly waiting for new words from her. Therefore, this review is hard to write because this book did not live up to my expectations.
The book started intense. In fact for the first 1/2 of the story I was waiting on bated breath. I was loving it. Then something changed in the story. It felt rushed and choppy. Then it ended. There were so many questions left unanswered. Things were in limbo and then there was this what the hell moment in the future and boom the story was over. I even made a confused wth sound when the book ended. I'm not sure what happened because this isn't like her typical writing style. Everything in the end from a weird conversation between Grandma and Viktor, Pierre, the situation with Drake, Bea... It all was just disjointed to me. In fact, had this not been an author I normally rave about, and hadn't started out so strong,I'm not sure if I would have even ranked this 3 stars.
I'm still a huge fan of this author but this was not for me.

I loved everything about Viktor. However, Blaire asked so many questions I wanted to kill her. Either way I adored this book.

This book took me by surprise. It’s not usually the type of book I go for but Odette Stone is always a one click for me. And I’m so glad I took the chance on this one. The twists and turns throughout the book kept me on the edge of my seat. I absolutely loved the chemistry between Viktor and Blaire and how hard Viktor fought against it. I will admit I haven’t read the first book in the series but I quickly added it to my library after finishing this one. I can’t wait to see what the rest of this series will bring.
I was provided an advanced copy of the book for review.

Once my expectations were adjusted, I really enjoyed this! I think I was expecting things to move faster than they did in terms of the romance. No spicy things start happening until about 50% or 60% way through. But I really enjoyed the journey and the characters. Man, I just wanted to give Viktor a hug. What a big softie!
