Can’t really give a rating to such a personal, well-written story. Caveney has clearly mastered the art of the memoir. Explores so much in such a succinct book.

This was the first book I read this summer while applying for projects and it’s been enlightening. As a medical student who is not yet at clinic, it can be easy to forget the patient perspective which is where memoirs like this become invaluable to keep me grounded. More than that, it’s a beautifully written reflection on the meaning of life, death, and everything in between.
