Continuing to enjoy the stories of the Taylor family and how they navigate crime in a small town. I liked that the 'small town rules' were continued in to this story.

I was so happy to see more books in the Rogue setting. I couldn’t figure out why I was having so much trouble downloading a novella. But, wow! That’s a first! I didn’t know Kindle in Motion was a thing but it was really impressive!

The story was alright. But the book?
the little scenes that were shot for it? it was pretty cool.
it was just annoying that the audio kept pausing on certain pages.
very innovative e-book.

This was an intriguing read. The author did a good job of having a couple of different viable suspects to keep you guessing between them and there was the ongoing search for the brother. With the brother missing I didn’t know if he was a victim, a suspect, or if him missing was somehow going to be unrelated. The women in the story didn’t really need rescued, they handled shit themselves and the men would show up in time to support them.
This is an intriguing mystery romance that keeps you interested, and has a lot of dynamic characters for the length of the story. It also addresses some tough topics in a pretty straightforward and healthy way which you don’t always see in romance.

Second read through this time with kindle in motion. That was so good! The extra pictures and clips imbedded into the book was nice to have.
I love Melinda Leigh's writing. I always root for her characters the whole way through. This was no exception. The anticipation of searching for Bruce after his girlfriend is found murdered, and then trying to find out what happened and who did what to who. Highly enjoyable. But is there more than one killer? Or did they get the wrong person?

I don’t know what I was expecting. But that was definitely not it. I think because the last book even though it’s a different series was Carly and Seth. I didn’t expect this one to be them as well.
They sure get into some sticky situations. I’m so thankful that everyone got out reasonably unharmed. I say that because their brother is going to go through a lot.
Also, I’m glad that there working things out and they’re together again. And although I’m not a big fan of Seth, I think he’s actually seeing things from his wife’s point of you and that her job matters too.
Again, I’m loving the narration. I think Kate Rudd is doing an amazing job.
