i actually hate when the story is told throughout the years and we don’t see the characters at present time until the end

Left breathless and heart racing this book held me heart from page one. There are things happening that you don’t see coming and even if you do it still leaves your heart in pieces then slowly mends it back together. Aida’s life isn’t one that is easy, and she lives with her horrific father she sees all the horrid things he gets up to, but the things thrown her way are never what she expects. My heart hurt for all she endures and the cruelty of her father, but she never let that take away her hope and heart of gold. There is so much I want to say yet I don’t want to ruin it for anyone because this book is a journey that readers will devour. Let’s just say you can’t anticipate all the things that come your way and the author handles it all with dignity and heart. This is by far my favorite of the series even though they all hold a piece of my heart. Trust me you will consume this read and your heart will hurt, but I promise it will also be healed.

The Devil's Den by Lilian Harris is a dark captive friends-to-lovers romance. This is the fourth book in the Cavaleri Brothers series.

I love Lilian's books! She does a great job pulling you in from the first chapter. I loved the relationship between Aida and Matteo. Their story broke my heart, but I was so glad they had each other. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

The book ends on a cliffhanger that left me begging for more. I can't wait for the next book in the series The Devil's Demise to be released on October 20, 2022.

I would recommend this book if you like dark romances, mafia romances, captive romances, friends-to-lovers romance, or romantic suspense.

This is the fourth book in the Cavaleri Brothers series and let me tell you it was FANTASTIC!
It was dark, twisted, and full of so many surprises.

Lilian definitely didn’t hold back in this book, so, please check TWs before reading this. It’s such a heartbreaking story and it’s definitely not for the faint of heart.
Matteo and Aida’s story is one you never expected and one that will certainly leave you wanting so much more. They were both such strong characters, and even though they went to hell and back, their love kept them going.

Matteo’s childhood was truly hell, being locked up for years with no family definitely traumatized him. Aida’s family life was not easy either, luckily Matteo and Aida found love and comfort in each other. As I said this is definitely a very dark story that isn’t always the easiest to read. It’s definitely worth the read though. Lilian has done such a fantastic job with this series and truly describing their love, loss, heartbreak, and trauma. Each book in this series will shatter your heart, but it will also slowly put it back together.

This was a very heartbreaking story, but it was also a beautiful one about finding someone that will always be there for you through all the trauma and never give up on you. Gah, it was the type of book you just couldn’t put down! I finished it in just a matter of hours. Trust me when I say this is the type of series that will definitely keep you hooked.

I could seriously go on and on about this amazing book. I won’t though, because you should just go and read this series. NOW…

This is definitely a five star read for me!

Thank you Lilian Harris for providing me with an ARC!!
