We meet Rachel and her daughter Alyssa at the beginning of the book. We find her with a man named Tim. Who is Tim to Rachel and Alyssa? What is the relationship like? When Rachel gets a call from someone named Kate, what is she told? Who is Kate? Rachel wakes Tim, what does she tell him? This is truly a book about changing your life and what happens in it. Maybe grudgingly on the change, but do you believe you can change your fate? Or are you one of those people that thinks that your fate is predetermined and it doesn't matter what decisions you make? You need to read this book to find out what Rachel does and how things change or don't change for her. When Tim shows up during Kate and Rachel's worst day of their lives, how does he find out about it? What does he want? What does he say to Ray when Ray calls him the next day and goes to talk to him? You're going to have to read this book that will bring you to tears and rip your heart apart, as if it is you going through the experience(s) that Rachel has and some of the ones that Kate has. Have a box of tissues ready!

I Loved, Loved, Loved this story it was full of heart, emotion, heat, lovable characters and moments of fun. I completely adored Ray and the way he wooed Rachel and treated her daughter was really sweet. I also loved that the characters were flawed yet very believable and were a real joy to read about.

As for the actual story it completely sucked me in from the very first page to the last and I honestly can't wait for more from this series. Especially when it comes to Zach and I'm hoping Kate who was such a vibrant fun, sassy character and the perfect match for Zach in my opinion. As for this one, I would definitely recommend it to others especially anyone who is a fan of this talented author. As it really is worth reading and I'll definitely be adding it to my favourites list.

Rachel Davidson is rethinking her life. Her relationship with Tim Willis is not going anywhere and although she thought things would get better with the birth of their daughter, Alyssa, she was wrong. When Rachel gets a phone call from her sister, Kate, that her dad is ill she knows that this is her chance to leave and start over.

Rachel is trying to come to terms with everything when she meets Ray Mitchell. He is patient, kind and the kind of guy every girl dreams of. Yet Rachel is hesitant after everything that she has gone through with Tim as her self-esteem is at an all-time low but Ray remains by her side as a friend.

When Rachel begins to trust in Ray her life takes a drastic turn and everything is gone. Will Rachel be able to pick up the pieces and when her past comes back to haunt her what will she do?

Wow - this book was absolutely amazing and had me crying from laughter and from emotional pain. I was so not expecting certain parts of this book and it just hit me from out of nowhere and I just broke.

The author does such an amazing job at bringing you completely into the story and feeling everything that the characters are going through. My heart definitely got a work out with this one!

Rachel is an awesome character who is just trying to get her life back together and be there for her dad. I love their discussions about life and fighting and I completely understood both sides of the discussion. I loved how Ray was able to help Rachel see the other side of everything but do it in an encouraging way. Rachel's self-esteem had taken such a beating with Tim and I liked how she was able to gradually get it back.

Ray is my dream guy! What an absolutely amazing character in so many ways. I loved how he was there for Rachel and her family in every way and was so patient and kind with her and Alyssa. He was such a great balance to everything in this book.

I thought Kate and Ray's cousin Zack were great and they had me laughing at so many parts with the humor and conversations that went on between the two. Zack was so good for Kate when she needed him to be and I loved seeing that side of him.

This was such an amazing book and I can't wait to read the next one! Definitely a tear-jerker!!
