So this is one of the books I have found that is precisely as it was described. Let me start by saying it is a super short novella. It only took me an hour to read. It is definitely an erotica novel, too. I picked it up just for one of those fun, don’t have to think, I have an hour or so to kill reads. It didn’t disappoint. As I am not much into erotica, this was a little out of my reading zone, but I didn’t think it was too bad. I liked the premise and think a few men should read it LOL. The story line follows Wendy and her husband. They have slowly drifted apart and neither of them is enjoying sex much anymore after 13 years of marriage. Her husband accidentally grabs her Kindle on day and ends up discovering all of her erotica stories. As an analyst, his curious and analytical mind instantly started to unwind exactly what his wife wants in the bedroom. The rest of the story is him organizing and going through with his plans to give her everything she wants. Like a said, quick erotica story, but the love of the couple and the marriage they had built was inspiring. It also was a good lesson on honesty and openness within the marriage. I think the most amusing part was the husband reading all the erotica books. Not a bad read for the summer if you’re looking for one.

I ended up picking this book up because I wanted a short quick read, and this definitely delivered in that respect. This might be kind of spoilery so if you plan to read it you might want to skip my review until after you have read it. I loved the premise of this book. Frank and Wendy have been married for 13 years. Frank thinks their sex life is great, but Wendy has grown bored. Wendy reads steamy romance novels, and she would like to try some of the things she has read about but she is too scared to come out and ask for it, so she tries to drop little hints, but Frank doesn't get it. One day he accidently takes her kindle to work with him instead of his. He ends up seeing all of the things she's reading. Everything she has highlighted or marked as her favorites and he comes to the conclusion that Wendy is bored and he's going to do something about it. This is where things kind of bothered me for a minute. Frank is some kind of an accountant, and he takes on this like he would one of his jobs. He does his research and makes lists and has percentages of what she would like to try etc. That part was all just a little weird to me. I mean by all means read the books and look up things but the way he did it just rubbed me the wrong way. After that starts the seduction. Frank is constantly saying he isn't sure if he can do all of these things but boy when the time comes, he doesn't hesitate whatsoever which I guess is a good thing because he was taking control but at the same time, I would have liked to see him not seem so comfortable with everything because it was all very new to him. Another thing that bothered me about this book is how when Frank was doing his research and reading other books the author referenced her other books several times. We even get little quotes. I tend to not like books within books already so only getting little snippets of a book is even more annoying. All of that aside it was very hot. I loved that we get a well-established couple who have to work to get the spark back and the positive communication while at times a little awkward was refreshing.

Really enjoyed this short story; the characters were real and relatable, not perfect and unlikely like in a lot of books of this nature. Will look out for further books by Nikki Sex.

The summary is short and to the point and honestly that is what it is. Wendy's husband accidently takes her kindle and when she calls him at work to ask him about it he becomes curious.
Now there isn't much of a story; a close relationship gone cold, a family, jobs and well vanilla.
Why do I give it five stars? Because I would suggest this book to anyone that thinks that their sex life is stale and that is just the way it is. It makes us admit that we need to 'own our mistakes' in life. If we desire some spice we can't wait for it to just appear, we need to bring it.
Loved it, and planning a way to get my hubby to 'accidently' open my kindle too....

What an effect can one's tiny mistaken action have..? You have to read to find out. ;)I could really relate to the heroine, beeing married and a mom. Although I cannot really see my hubby to just turn out quite the way Frank did - not on his own at least. The story was funny, sexy and real-life-like, which is why I liked it.

It is what it is, I can only imagine if you're reading this book you don't know what you're getting into. I got this as a free download on my Kindle, as I do most of my books in the genre. There seems to be a lot of them for free...hmmm...

First, it is not too over the top with the s&m (or whatever they call it now). It actually reads more like a manual for men who aren't sure how to figure out what their wives want with some steamy scenes thrown in.

My biggest issue is one that has been brought up by others. The author references her own books too much. I get her wanting to self promote, but it actually took me out of the flow of the story when she threw in a million titles.

2.5 stars. A little better than ok, but, cheesey. And advertisement for authors other books, unnecessary. Quick read.

What Wendy Wants or What Nikki Sex Wants to Sell, that's the question.

This will be a quick review for a quick read. What Wendy Wants is a short story about a married couple, Wendy and Frank, where Wendy has grown bored with their sex life. One day when Frank is hurrying to work he accidentally snatches his wife's Kindle instead of his own. And what does his dear wife have on it? Well, smut. Kinky smut, to be precise. He soon realizes his wife's been wanting more from their sex life than he's been able to give her. So, naturally, he begin researching BDSM, planning to surprise his wife.

Okay, to be honest there's nothing wrong with the story. It's short, it's somewhat erotic, and that's it. I mean, there's only so much you can put in a short story. I didn't particularly like Wendy with how she thinks of her sons at times, but she's not awful. Frank was nothing special either.

So what's up with my opening line? Well, more or less all of the books and quotes Frank reads on his wife's Kindle is titles by Nikki Sex. At times there's several paragraphs taken straight out of her other work, making this read more like an ad to read other books by her. It's putting me off, really. Because without it this would've seemed like a normal story, but when an author begins placing her own work in her/his other books, that's just... wrong. I mean, if the author hints toward her/his other work, that's okay. But quoting herself/himself in his work? Yeah, no. Without this advertising the book would have received a higher rating, that's for sure.

An amazing short and sweet tale about finding the lost spark. Scorching and sweet!

The writing style wasn't working for me. It was boringly detailed and the book that Wendy was reading just happened to be written by the author. I thought that was a little lame.
